From Calgary | Private & Fully Customized Mountain Adventure (10hr)

10 hours

A fully bespoke, co-designed experience. For this tour, we partner with you to curate a private, 10-hour journey of active mountain discovery that balances your personal non-negotiables with our local expertise and strategic timing.

Introduction: The Canadian Rockies, Your Way

This is a fully personalized, co-designed adventure, 100% tailored to your pace and interests. Our only caveat: we "sense-check" every request to ensure your goals are logistically sound and that the beauty of the landscape isn't unduly lost to the inside of a vehicle.

This is the premier option for those who want to mix locations, timings, and extras to truly push the boundaries of a custom itinerary:

  • Maybe you want to visit Kananaskis, Banff, Yoho, and Kootenay all in one ambitious sweep.
  • Maybe you only have one free day and a "can-do" attitude, but can't find a standard tour that ticks all your boxes.
  • Perhaps you'd like to combine a morning in Calgary with a foothills hike and a local ice cream stop.
  • Maybe you want a sunrise start, a sunset finish, or a day dedicated entirely to chasing waterfalls.

Whatever your non-negotiables, our aim is to help you achieve them. Take a look at our other offerings for inspiration, and let us know what’s missing from your trip so far.

        What to Bring

          Clothing & Footwear:

          • Shoes: Comfortable hiking boots (recommended) or trail-appropriate walking shoes. Waterproof footwear is recommended.
          • Layers: Clothing fit for an active day, including adaptable layers. Weather in the Rockies is famously variable; being able to "layer up or down" is key to staying comfortable.
          • Pro Tip: Avoid Cotton. Cotton traps moisture and loses all insulating properties when damp, which can lead to rapid chilling. For your comfort and safety, we recommend moisture-wicking base layers made of merino wool or synthetic active-wear.

          Hydration & Personal Gear:

          • Water: Plenty of water for an active day. We provide chilled refills in the van - please bring your own reusable bottle(s).
          • Sun Protection: Sunglasses, hat, and sunscreen (even in winter).
          • For Photos: A fully-charged camera or smartphone.
          • Specialized Gear: We provide hiking poles and microspikes/ice cleats - no need to bring your own unless you prefer them.

          For Winter:

          • The Essentials: Insulated gloves, thick wool socks, a warm toque/beanie, and additional warm layers.
          • Footwear: Insulated, waterproof hiking boots are strongly recommended.
