MOLARI is a small, family-run tour operator specializing in private hiking and sightseeing experiences in the Canadian Rockies.
We offer highly personalized single- and multi-day tours throughout Kananaskis Country and the National Parks of Banff, Yoho, Kootenay, Jasper and Waterton Lakes.
Our tours are Founder-led, operate year-round, and include door-to-door transport with a picnic lunch for a seamlessly elevated mountain adventure.
We are proud to welcome guests from all over the world, and offer guiding services in English, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese.

Han and I first met over 10 years ago in Suzhou, when we were both working for the same education company in China.
Fast forward to 2026, and a mutual friend reconnected us after learning that we’d both set up shop in the outdoor recreation & touring space. One in Calgary, one in Beijing.
Numerous long-distance phone calls then followed, and by late September we were delivering a completely bespoke 9-day itinerary throughout the Canadian Rockies, hosting a wonderful group of guests from all over China ⛰️

Russell’s career has taken him across East Asia, the UK, and South America, working in travel and international education with organizations big and small. MOLARI was born from a lifelong love of exploration and travelling the world.
Russ loves everything about the Canadian Rockies and is especially excited to introduce guests to some of the region’s lesser-known landscapes, including the wild and beautiful Kananaskis Country.
A native English speaker, Russell is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Spanish, is an IGA-certified four-season hiking guide, and holds a 50-hour Wilderness First Aid qualification... so you’re in capable hands out on the trail!
